Shipping

-Stone
Cottage Farm usually handles all shipping
arrangements for customers. Trucking is billed
directly to the customer.
-Stone is
most economically shipped on full
flatbed
semi trucks (usually 24 tons). The shipping
cost is
usually the same even if the truck isn’t
fully
loaded, so it is most cost effective to ship in
full
loads.
-Small
orders/individual pallets (architectural
details, benches, tables) are shipped common
freight.
-Stone is
always transported on pallets which must
be loaded and unloaded with a forklift. Pallets of
stone usually weigh 3,000- 4,200lbs.
-Customers
are responsible for unloading pallets of
stone from the truck. This requires a fork lift.
-The
delivery site must be accessible to a typical
flatbed semi truck. Bridge weight limits and
roads/driveways with tight or sharp corners can
prevent the truck from reaching the delivery site.
COVERAGE
